Registration Open for Minnesota Department of Education’s Community Listening Sessions
The Minnesota Department of Education’s Division of Special Education is hosting a number of sessions to hear from community members about Minnesota’s Part B Annual Performance Report. The report, or APR, is sent each February to the federal Office of Special Education Programs and describes Minnesota’s progress educating students with disabilities.
Each session will be focused on an indicator or set of indicators from the APR. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about the indicator(s), review Minnesota’s current progress, and share their thoughts about the ways MDE can support districts to improve the outcomes for our students with disabilities. This year, the Division of Special Education will host two 1-hour sessions for each indicator or set of indicators: one from 2 to 3 p.m., and one from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. We hope that you find one of those times convenient for your schedule.
This year’s sessions will also be virtual, and you can access the registration by selecting the link in the table below. The registration includes a place to request accommodations.
