Intermediate District 287 Career & Tech Center offers a comprehensive selection of programs geared towards providing high school students with a competitive advantage. These programs focus on developing professional skills, obtaining industry certifications, and, in some cases, earning college credit. This strategic approach allows students to gain a head start towards post-secondary success while earning valuable high school elective credit.
Students enrolled in Pathways courses come from 12 member school districts situated west of the Minneapolis area. The coursework integrates into students’ regular school day, with each period lasting 100 minutes. After completing their specialized Pathways class, students return to their home high schools to continue with their required core classes.
To facilitate participation, transportation is provided from member school districts, and the courses are conducted on the campus of Hennepin Technical College – Eden Prairie Campus.
This initiative aims to empower students with practical skills and knowledge that will serve them well beyond their high school years.
