Are you a Minnesota teacher looking to renew your teaching license? Intermediate District 287 offers a number of online Save Your License modules that can help you meet the requirements of teacher license renewal.

Each module costs $25 and offers two-hours of CEU credits. Most modules meet specific license rider conditions. See the course descriptions below for specific details. Head to our learning management system to register.

Modules can be done anywhere you have Internet access, and you can complete work at your own pace over as many sessions as you like. We guarantee access to the module for at least a year after you enroll. Keep in mind that the modules have specific tasks that you must complete to successfully complete them. You will have as many attempts as you need to meet any quiz or reflection requirements. These courses aren’t designed to be hard, but you will need to show evidence of successful learning to successfully unlock the certificate.

SYL: Positive Behavior Interventions & Supports

The main goals of this training are to meet the licensure requirement and help you develop a deeper knowledge and how you can implement PBIS in your classroom or school.

This two-hour mini-course cover the history of adaptations, what adaptations are, the benefit of adaptations to every student, and examples and resources for using adaptations in your classroom.

SYL: Google Mojo

A two-hour mini-course on powering up your Google search skills. You might think, "Oh, I already know how to search for things!" But you might be surprised what you learn in this course. The course covers the basics of efficient searching, then branches out into less common ways to make your searches quicker and less time-consuming.

SYL: English Language Learners

To fulfill the requirement of ELL for relicensure you need to take your reflection statement from this course and submit it in your reflective statement that you submit to your relicensure team.

In this session you will learn about English Learners (ELs) and how to support them in the classroom. As you navigate through the session you will:

  • Learn about the stages of language acquisition
  • Learn about Minnesota EL Statute
    Hear from a student about English Learners
  • Explore how rhetoric plays a part in how students participate in school
  • Learn more about supporting EL's in the classroom
  • Learn how current brain research can inform what we do in the classroom.
