Superintendent Search Interview Schedule


Are you excited to meet the candidates for the next Intermediate District 287 superintendent?

Wednesday, December 1: The School Board will learn about candidates and vote on the slate of candidates. Candidates’ names will be posted on our website directly after the meeting.

Details: Wednesday, December 1 at 5 p.m. at the District Service Center. Live stream the meeting or the public can watch from Room 318 at the District Service Center.

Thursday and Friday, December 2 and 3: School Board first-round interviews with candidates: Finalists’ names will be posted on our website directly after the meeting on December 3.

Details: Thursday, December 2 and Friday, December 3 at 5 p.m. at the District Service Center. Members of the public are invited to watch the Board interviews from Room 318 at the District Service Center. These meetings will not be live-streamed, however, they will be recorded and posted the following week.

Monday, Tuesday, & Wednesday, December 6-8: Stakeholder and community interviews and final School Board interviews with finalists (one on each day)
The School Board’s top choice for superintendent will be posted on our website directly after the meeting on December 8.

Details: Monday, December 6 through Wednesday, December 8 at 5 p.m. at the District Service Center. Members of the public are invited to participate in community interviews with candidates. After, the public can watch the School Board interviews from Room 318 at the District Service Center beginning at . These meetings will not be live-streamed, however, they will be recorded and posted the following week.

  • Part 1: Informal stakeholder interviews (by invite only)
    – Student Interviews
    – Strategic Implementation Team
    – Member District Leaders
    – Principals
    – Union Representatives
  • Part 2: Community Interview (5-6 p.m.)
    Room 318 District Service Center (1820 Xenium Ln, Plymouth). The second-round interviews are very informal. There are no suggested questions – it’s a time for the candidate to briefly introduce themself and then for staff, families, and the community to ask questions on topics that are important to them.
  • Part 3: School Board Final Interview (7-8:30 p.m.)
    Viewable from Room 318 District Service Center (1820 Xenium Ln, Plymouth). The School Board will conduct their final interview with each candidate after the community interview. The School Board will review feedback from stakeholders prior to the final interview, and consider additional questions based on stakeholder feedback.
