What is SAEBRS?
The SAEBRS (Social, Academic, and Emotional Behavior Risk Screener) is a brief, norm-referenced tool for screening all students to identify those who are at risk for social-emotional behavior (SEB) problems. SAEBRS is one of the only SEB universal screening tools built to assess both the absence of problem behaviors and symptomatology (e.g., internalizing and externalizing behaviors) and the presence of well-being and competencies (e.g., social-emotional skills).
How and when is the SAEBRS given?
The SAEBRS screener has both a student and teacher survey that, in most cases; both the student and teacher will complete. The SAEBRS will be administered to students roughly 6-8 weeks after the beginning of the school year. The SAEBRS is typically administered on a computer - and should take less than 15 minutes to complete.
Your school may measure students in grades 2 through 12 and transition programs twice per school year, in order to track how students’ perspectives have changed.
