Congratulations to Larissa View for winning the Above and Beyond Award at North Education Center. She is an instructor at NEC and was nominated in the Trauma-Responsive & Healing-Centered Practices category by her colleagues. Some of her colleagues have had the honor of working with Larissa for the past nine school years, and each year, she amazes them with her dedication.

She manages to connect with parents and caregivers who, in the past, had nothing but negative experiences with the school system, and after time with her, they almost become
family. She understands the power of relationships in supporting trauma recovery and consistently goes above and beyond, whether it’s taking on challenging students, staying with a student in the hospital until late, or assisting parents after hours.

Her genuine love for her students is evident in her selfless actions and unwavering dedication. She truly loves her students as her own, and it’s a love you can’t fake. And after all her time here at NEC, the amount of hearts she has touched is unreal.
