AVID is an academic, regularly scheduled elective class, during the school day, based on writing as a tool of learning, the inquiry method, and collaborative grouping.

The three main components of the program are:

  • Academic instruction
  • Tutorial support
  • Motivational activities

Early Learning Center - ELC

South Education Center Alternative (SECA) - Early Learning Center (ELC) is a Hennepin county approved and funded daycare for infant and toddler children of teenage parents who are at risk of not graduating from high school.  

Collaborative Problem Solving

Here is how SECA solves problems. Collaborative Problem Solving: Plan B Conversations is a tool used to establish a positive relationship between students and staff, where the student's voice and concerns are heard.
