Resources
As parents of the great students of Ann Bremer Education Center, we know you have many things you deal with on a daily basis.
This section is to help you to find some resources to do your job as parents even better. We know that the hardest job in the world is being a parent.
Intermediate District 287 does not endorse any of these organizations but simply provides the information as a resource to parents:
Social Emotional Learning (SEL)
Social Emotional Learning (SEL)is the process through which children and adults acquire the knowledge, attitudes, and skills they need to recognize and manage their emotions, demonstrate caring and concern for others, establish positive relationships, make responsible decisions, and handle challenging situations constructively.
SEL is best achieved through a layered approach of skills lessons, infusion of practices into the regular curricula and classroom activities, and delivery in an environment of safety, respect, and caring in which SEL values are modeled.
