Grants and Research Office (GRO)

GRO is a dynamic and successful partnership between two Minnesota intermediate school districts - Intermediate District 287 and Northeast Metro 916 Intermediate School District. Intermediate districts partner with K-12 school districts to meet more effectively the unique learning needs of every student. In order to achieve this mission, GRO helps districts stay on the cutting edge of educational research, share effective practice and learn from successful grants.

Region 11 Math & Science Teacher Academy Partnership (MSTP)

The Region 11 Math and Science Teacher Center offers top quality professional development for Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area K-12 educators, with a goal to increase content knowledge and build the instructional capacity of teachers in order to raise student achievement.

Student Wellness

The Intermediate 287 School Board approved policy HM180 Wellness on June 8, 2017, expressing their commitment to wellness for students to help them become healthier focused learners.  The policy states, “The Board recognizes that nutrition promotion and education, physical activity and other school-based activities that promote student wellness are essential components of the educational process and that good health fosters student attendance and learning.”
