Students who have met educational criteria under the Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) category, or who are in need of an evaluation to qualify for services under ASD. Contact Linda Weegman at 763-550-2129 or LBWeegman@district287.org for more information.
School Social Workers use an ecological perspective to link school, home, and the community together. We help build relationships with family and school for a shared approach to help promote student learning. School Social Workers provide information about children’s mental health needs to the school staff.
School psychologists help children and youth succeed academically, socially, behaviorally, and emotionally.
The range of speech/language services at NWTC is designed to be flexible to meet the unique needs of students and support staff.
Therapy animals are a very important part of the day for many students. There are four therapy dogs and a bird currently working in District 287. In order to be a part of the therapy dog program, owners and dogs must pass an on-site test following the rigorous training program. District 287 dogs and owners were trained and tested by Natural Connections Learning Center (formerly MN LINC).
