Returning Student

As we prepare for registration, we ask that you take a few minutes to review the student information that we have in our registration system. Families will receive an email in January with catalog and February registration information.

1. Go to the WSSS portal to log in. Your username is your email address. If you can not recall your password, click on “forgot your password” and a new one will be emailed to you.
2. Families who wish to carpool need to select “yes” each year to be added to the carpool list. We also request families to update and certify their emergency contact information each year.
3. To remove a student from the ACTIVE contact list, complete the Request to Close Student Account Form.
4. If you intend to register any new siblings, you will need a code for each new registrant. Registration flyers will be distributed by school talent development staff in January. Please contact WSSS staff if you have any questions.

Step-by-step instructions for updating student accounts

West Suburban Summer School uses a lottery process for class registration. 

Request entry will OPEN on February 12, 2026 by 8:30 am, and WILL REMAIN OPEN until February 20 at 11:59 pm, so there is not a rush to enter requests. You will be able to enter 3 requests per child per week, and prioritize your preferences. Requests will not be official enrollments, nor will they guarantee a spot in the courses.

Step-By-Step Instructions for Requesting Courses

On February 25 (March 5 for nonmembers), enrollments will be assigned to member district families according to an automated random lottery process in the registration system based on requests and the space available in the class. This will provide more equitable distribution of requests, and avoid the rush to be on the computer at a specific time. 

Within 7 days of receiving your enrollment notification, you must take action to keep or change your student’s schedule.

During this time, you should:

• Pay for enrolled classes to secure your student’s spot
• OR
• Drop a class if your student will not attend
• AND/OR
• Request changes (such as switching or adding classes) by submitting the Course Request and Change Form

*Payment must be made in full within 7 days of enrollment to secure enrollment and avoid the $100 drop fee per class.

After March 11th, it’s open enrollment for classes that have not filled. Course requests can be submitted on the Course Request and Change Form. The WSSS team will honor these requests on a first come, first serve basis.

Once registration is complete, families will receive an email 2-3 weeks prior to the start of each class, with detailed information for that week.
