Register
West Suburban Summer School uses a lottery process for class registration. As we prepare for registration, we ask that you take a few minutes to review the student information that we have in our registration system.
Important Reminders
- Requests do not guarantee enrollment. Certain classes may have limited space.
- Class sizes are capped at 16 students.

Member districts are part of Intermediate District 287. If you live in or attend a school in one of the following districts, you are considered a "Member": Brooklyn Center, Eden Prairie, Edina, Hopkins, Minnetonka, Orono, Osseo, Richfield, Robbinsdale, St. Louis Park, Wayzata, and Westonka.

If you don’t live in a member district or attend a school that is part of one of these districts, you are considered a non-member.

Request period opens FEBRUARY 13-21, 2025 for all students.

*NOTE: Site adjustments may be made based on pending construction projects and cleaning schedules in schools. Notification will be sent to students affected by any changes, and students will have the opportunity to withdraw without penalty.

Registration Overview
- New students receive invitations from their school's Gifted or Talent Development Coordinator in order to be eligible for registration. Please contact your GT Coordinator or WSSS staff with questions.
- Students who have attended in the past and have an account, can register without an invitation.
- Classes meet for five days from 8:30 am – 4:00 pm. (June 16-20 meets 4 days) No School Thursday, June 19 - Juneteenth Holiday
- Students may register for more than one session.
- Students need to bring a lunch and beverage. Supervision is provided during lunch.
- Additional class fees reflect the cost for field trips and special materials.
