Masks must continue to be worn by everyone through end of school year

While Governor Walz announced an end to the statewide mask requirement effective May 13, the Minnesota Department of Education announced that existing face-covering procedures in schools will remain in effect. View District 287’s face covering procedure.

Through the end of the 2020-21 school year, masks must continue to be worn by everyone inside school buildings or on a school bus. This includes the District Service Center.

Students will be able to take mask breaks in designated areas in the building and outside. Breaks can be taken for short periods of time while students socially distance. Masks do not need to be worn outside.
