Student Spotlight: LB

Each year, we elevate our student and family voices by inviting them to share their story at a school board meeting.

Deb Carlson-Doom, South Education Center (SEC) Principal, introduced LB, a 12th-grade student who attended SEC. LB is a talented artist, a true leader, and a natural mentor. In the last six months, he mentored two students and significantly impacted their lives. At SEC, he had the opportunity to take auto mechanic courses through District 287's Career & Tech Center's pathways program.

"This was a great experience for me because I was able to explore a possible career path that I'd be interested in. Something I appreciate about SEC was they gave me a lot of room to grow along with other different perspectives and points of view," said LB.

LB will return to Eden Prairie High School next week and graduate in the spring.
