Introducing our Chemical Health Counselors

District 287 All Staff Message

Our Student Supports team is here to help students who may be impacted by alcohol or other drugs. We have trained counselors called Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselors (LADCs) who visit classrooms to teach students about making healthy choices and staying safe.

These counselors focus on helping students understand the risks, make smart decisions, and support those who are in recovery. LADCs are also available to meet one-on-one with students each week. They can help with setting personal goals, dealing with stress, and staying on track. Every student can set their own goals, whether that means staying away from substances completely or taking small steps to be safer.

Please contact Evan or Haley with any questions.
