Benefits for students and families
P-EBT benefit extension
The Federal Government has announced that P-EBT benefits will be extended through September 2021. These benefits allow families to receive SNAP payments for food for each student in their household that qualifies for free or reduced-price school meals. Additional information on the P-EBT program will come out from the state in the next few months. Note: in order to be eligible for this benefit, families need to have a qualifying application on file with their school district. Please submit your student(s) online meal application today to ensure your eligibility for this benefit!
Help your school maintain funding for instructional support staff
If you have not already done so, please submit your student’s application for educational benefits (free and reduced meal application) by January 3, 2021. Since meals have been free this school year for all students regardless of their income, we have seen a decline in families submitting applications. These applications do qualify students for free or reduced-price meals in a normal school year, but they also provide the district with additional state funding for educational programs. With the decline in application submissions this year, the district stands to lose most of this important funding. Please use the online meal application to apply for your student(s) today. Only applications received and processed by January 4, 2021, count towards our state funding. Thank you in advance for taking the time to assist your school by submitting your application.
