Additional Information for Families During Distance Learning
Dear District 287 Families,
We wish to thank you for your patience and understanding as we navigate this period of Distance Learning through next Friday, January 21. We understand the hardships it causes for families.
Meal Sign Up by 10 a.m. Thursday: Free meal packs are available to all enrolled Intermediate District 287 students during distance learning. Please sign up for a meal pack by 10 am on Thursday, January 13th. Meals may be picked up at any of our school sites on Friday, January 14th from 7 am-2 pm. If you are unable to pick up a meal pack at your school site, please contact your school social worker.
Do you or your child need a COVID vaccination? Go to the Hennepin County website to explore free clinic options for first, second, or booster vaccinations. You can register for an appointment online or by calling the County’s navigation line at 612-348-8900. Currently, there are openings for ages 5 and up for first, second dose, or 12+ booster shots Saturdays, January 15, and February 5th at Aquila Elementary School in St. Louis Park. Or Wednesdays, January 19 and February 9th at Eden Prairie High School.
$200 Visa Gift Cards: Minnesota families who get their 5- to 11-year-old fully vaccinated in January and February can get a $200 Visa gift card. In order to be eligible, Minnesotans 5-11 must receive their first and second dose between January 1 and February 28. Registration for the $200 Visa gift card will open at 10:00 am on January 24, 2022, and close at 11:59 pm on February 28, 2022. Parents/Guardians can register their 5- to 11-year-old once they have completed their two-dose series. Learn more about the “Kids Deserve a Shot” incentive program.
