Posted 12/30/2014 11:00AM

Students and staff will return from break in a few days. Thanks to the efforts our Business Services, the Kid Pack Program and Baby Care Kitswill be resupplied.

For the second year, Business Services lead Holiday Giving Program initiative for the District Service Center. The donated items are instrumental in starting the New Year. Throughout the year, this program is coordinated by Golden Valley Lutheran Church (GVLC) and MN Visiting Nurses Association (MVNA).

The Kid Pack Program is for students that qualify for free and reduced lunch benefits, receive products that can be self-prepared by the student for weekends and holiday breaks. We currently have 104 students on our Kid Pack program at North Education Center (NEC).

Baby Care Kits are for babies of students enrolled at NEC and South Education Center. The kit is a gift to parents as they help their baby stay on track with developmental toys.

According to the Committee, the total donations gathered at the District Service Center include:
• Kid Pack Program: 975 individual snacks/servings
• Baby Care Kits: 33 items for Kits
• Cash donations: $880

Thank you for supporting our students and their babies!
