Intermediate District 287 provides direct programs for students and adults, as well as an array of services to support our Member Districts' education missions. As an intermediate district, 287 shares staff and resources as an effective way for Member Districts to provide highly specialized education programs to their students and families. District 287 can also develop or tailor services to meet the unique needs of students. DISTRICT 287 CONFERENCE CENTEROffers fully equipped meeting rooms well suited for individual member districts, internal staff and non-member business groups to share expertise, practices and solutions in an educational environment. FacilitiesProvide information regarding District 287 systems and programs to member districts and others regarding innovative practices, energy conservation methods and other best practices. FinanceThe Finance Department provides information and services to districts related to tuition invoices, rates, levies and State Special Education tuition billing that relates to their use of the Intermediate. Human ResourcesA full-range of direct and consulting services to support Member Districts' infrastructure. INFORMATION TECHNOLOGYThe Information Technology Department provides a broad range of technology support and planning for both instructional and operational technology needs for staff and students. Legal ServicesConsultation and training on a wide variety of legal issues. Student Information SystemsDocumentation and detailed instructions for completion of student data forms and data entry intoTIES Student Information System. TRANSPORTATIONTransportation for students attending District programs is provided by the student's home school district.

Area Learning CenterProvides educational programs tailored to meet the needs of at-risk learners and to help students earn a high school diploma. Career & Technical programs - Hennepin Technical PathwaysOffers 11th and 12th graders the opportunity to fulfill high school electives and earn free college credits through Hennepin Technical College. Gifted EducationA range of K-12 gifted programs serve and challenge students to reach their potential. Northern Star Online (Online Learning)Allows students to earn high school credits through an online learning program. Special EducationHighly-specialized programs allow students with low-incidence impairments to receive a quality education and achieve their full potential.
