Construction Cohort
In partnership with Intermediate District 287 and Hopkins Public Schools, students will have an alternative way to learn mathematic skills for the Minnesota test; this is a hands-on opportunity to apply math comprehension and construction skill. A certified math teacher along with a licensed contractor/technology education instructor will work with students to build a cabin for the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources.
Course Details:
- Four-credit course
- Includes one credit of math and three elective credits
- Meets for one semester on the campus of Hopkins High School
- Option to take the CLEP math exam at the end of the course (College Level Examination Program)
