Northern Star Online is offering a series of courses to meet individual needs.

 

COURSE INFORMATION

Digital Perspectives: research and trends in online learning

A 2-3 hour presentation and discussion on the landscape of online learning
Audience: leadership groups or staff interested an overview perspective
Fee: $300 per session

  • What is going on with online learning?
  • How does it affect our school?
  • Why should we get involved?

 

Digital Delivery: Building an Online Class

A 50-hour course in developing online curriculum
Includes Moodle Nuts and Bolts
Audience: teachers interested in developing an online presence for their courses
Fee: $250 per participant

Key Questions:

  • How do I envision my curriculum differently for online delivery?
  • How do I set up an online course?


Moodle Overview

An open window into what Moodle is and how it is used for example units
Audience: anyone who wants to see what Moodle is
Fee: FREE view-only access

Key Questions:

  • What is Moodle and what can it do?
  • How can Moodle be used for other purposes?

 

Moodle Nuts & Bolts

A series of step-by-step videos showing how to use Moodle features
Audience: course developers working with Moodle to create content
Fee: $150 for open view-only access

Key Questions:

  • How do you do this stuff in Moodle?
  • What can you add to Moodle?
